Steam locomotive 60163 Tornado to pass through Yorkshire TODAY

60163 Tornado is to make its mainline return TODAY (7th March 2025) as it heads to Carnforth on a test run.

Departing the Nene Valley Railway at 10:24, the locomotive and its support coach will pass through Peterborough (10:44), Spaling (11:06), (11:32) and (11:51).

From Lincoln, the locomotive will head via (12:15), Doncaster (12:51), Adwick (13:01), Fitzwilliam (13:12), (13:37), Woodlesford (13:47), (15:02), Keighley (15:10), Skipton (15:22), Gargrave (15:26) and Hellifield (15:33).

The locomotive will be serviced at Hellifield before head via Long Preston (16:22) and Carnforth at 16:57, where it will shunt around the station before heading to West Coast’s depot.
