Shakespeare Express steam train to help mark 175th Anniversary of Worcestershire railway station

Its a big year for ‘ Shakespeare Express – it is 40 years since the first train ran and it is also the 175th Anniversary of railway station.

Four departures from Worcester will take place in 2025, helping to mark the special year.

Tickets are now on sale, but passengers are encouraged to book soon as tickets wont be around for long.

Trains will depart Worcester, , Stourbridge Junction and Snow Hill on the 6th April, 27th July, 17th August and 9th November.

  • Approximate timings for The Shakespeare Express are as follows;
    • Depart from Worcester Shrub Hill at 10:25am and return at 19:05pm
    • Depart from Droitwich Spa at 10:35am and return at 18:55pm
    • Depart from Stourbridge Junction at 11:15am and return at 18:15pm

Passengers can choose from Tourist Class (starting at £70pp) or they can upgrade to Pullman Dining from £125pp.
