Returning for its spring show, the and District Model Railway Society is holding its MRX25 Wycrail exhibition on Saturday, 12th April 2025.

The model railway exhibition, which is regarded as “small, friendly and family”, will be celebrating 200 years of rail travel, when the railways transformed public travel in 1825, leading to a global revolution in railway building and travel.

The spring MRX25 show will comprise 12 model layouts featuring a wide range of models from N, H0, 00, 7mm and 00-9 narrow gauges.

One of the layouts on display will be ‘Mothecombe’ (00). This particular layout was built by and is operated and maintained by the High Wycombe and District Model Railway Society, Junior Model Club; the display shows the time and effort that the younger generation has put into their layout while getting into the world of model railways, which helps to keep the hobby alive for future generations.

There will also be trade stands at the show selling ready-to-run new and second-hand models, along with track, buildings and scenery, while other stalls will be selling books and 3D printed accessories.

The sponsors of the exhibition, The Transport Treasury and AGR Model Railway Store, Leighton Buzzard will also be in attendance.

The show is being held at the Cressex Community Centre & Social Club and will be open from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm on Saturday 12th April 2025. Admission prices and additional details can be found on the society website www.hwdmrs.org.uk
