Greater Anglia to trial Customer led Committee

Train Operator of the Year Greater Anglia is inviting regular passengers who travel between Cambridge and London Liverpool Street (including the intermediate stations) to become part of a new customer committee.

Having won train operator of the year three times in the last six years, Greater Anglia is continually looking to improve the passenger experience, it is hoped that this passenger-led committee will improve the interaction between passengers and operations staff, which in turn will lead to a better service.

The committee will be made up of 10 regular travellers who use the West Anglia route.

Their role will involve collecting data through surveys, providing detailed information and giving feedback through online meetings with Greater Anglia’s senior management about train services, stations and facilities along the line.

Regular users of the West Anglia Route will already have a wealth of knowledge and experience of the train services and the stations. They will also need to provide information every two weeks to Great Anglia about:

  • Stations and train facilities
  • Accessibility of information at stations, on trains, and online
  • Train services and alterations, including rail replacement services
  • Areas for improvement
  • New ideas, which might be trialled or introduced to aid the passenger experience.

Those who wish to apply to become a member of this new customer committee must do so via the Greater Anglia website by 23:59 on Monday, 24 March. Each committee member will be allowed to stand for a 6-month term, which is open to extension.

Those who are selected will receive a complimentary travel pass across the Greater Anglia Network as a thank-you for giving up their spare time and offering contributions to benefit others.

If this customer committee trail on the West Anglia route is successful, Greater Anglia is looking to roll it out on other lines across its network.
