(EMR) has extended the availability of Advance Purchase tickets to include the Robin Hood Line between and .

Advance Purchase tickets allow customers to travel between Nottingham and Worksop for as little as £2.60.

They can be booked from 12 weeks in advance until the day before travel.

However, there are only a limited number of tickets available, so it is recommended that customers book as far ahead as possible to secure a reduced-price ticket for their preferred date and time.

The tickets are ideal for customers who know their plans for where and when they wish to travel. They also help East Midlands Railway reduce demand at peak times by encouraging customers to take advantage of the more affordable travel options during off-peak hours.

There are a few conditions attached to the use of Advance Purchase tickets. They can only be purchased for single journeys, customers must travel from and to the stations stated on their ticket, they must travel at the specific time stated on their ticket, and if they miss their booked train they will need to purchase a new ticket.

Since East Midlands Railway extended Advance Purchase tickets to include the routes from Derby to Crewe and Nottingham to Lincoln, by February this year over 130,000 tickets had been sold for those routes.

The majority of tickets for travel on East Midlands Railway are now purchased online, with nearly 80% of all tickets purchased in January this year being digital tickets.

“We are excited to launch Advance Purchase fares on the Robin Hood Line. We hope these cheaper tickets will be popular with people visiting Nottingham or travelling on the route to attractions such as Creswell Crags or Newstead Abbey.”
