Passengers are being advised that the Inverclyde lines will be closed for an additional day, with train services set to resume on Thursday, March 20.
Buses will resume their roles replacing train services on Wednesday, March 19, from Paisley Gilmour Street.
Passengers who are planning to travel on the routes between Glasgow Central and Gourock or Wemyss Bay are advised that they check their train services before they travel.

Originally planned to finish on Tuesday, 18 March, the engineering works have been forced into overrunning following an incident at the site on Saturday, which is now under investigation, which caused the work to unexpectedly stop for several hours.
Network Rail has been granted permission to continue with the engineering work, renewing the junction at Port Glasgow for an additional 24 hours, meaning there will be disruption to services for an additional day.
“We want to thank passengers for their patience and understanding. We are working around-the-clock to finish this upgrade as quickly as possible ahead of services resuming on Thursday morning. Those travelling are asked to check their journey in advance at scotrail.co.uk or nationalrail.co.uk.”
Simon Constable, Network Rail operations director
