Northern has announced a change that will affect passengers using Deansgate station in Manchester.

The main entrance has been closed whilst essential repairs take place on the station roof.

Whilst the repairs take place, Northern says passengers need to use the Metrolink station entrance, which connects to the main station via a footbridge.

The revised walking route will be in effect until the 24th February 2025

“We apologise for any inconvenience this causes, which is unavoidable while these repairs are made to the station roof.

Craig Harrop, regional director for Northern
