ScotRail has released a statement after a train caught fire this morning near Dundee.
There were no injuries or concerns for the welfare of the staff or passengers onboard.
The 0930 Edinburgh Waverley to Aberdeen service was formed of one of ScotRail’s Inter7City HST trains, and the fire broke out in one of the train’s power cars.
The fire has been contained and extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and is now under investigation.
Whilst trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Aberdeen are now on the move again, trains between Edinburgh and Aberdeen remain suspended.
