Hunslet, Newstead, has found a new home in Norfolk after discussions with the Spa Valley Railway.
The Spa Valley Railway felt that it wouldn’t be fair to sign an operating agreement with Newstead’s owner as other engines are arriving on short, medium and long term hires, as well as the return to service or the Jinty locomotive.
With this in mind, Newstead will move to its new home of the North Norfolk Railway, where finishing touches will be made, testing and launch into service.
It is hoped this will happen over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend.
