With Random Acts of Kindness Day taking place on Monday, February 17th, Lumo has partnered with Ringtons, a high-quality manufacturer of tea, coffee, and confectionery based in Tyneside.
On Monday, 17th February, passengers on board Lumo services will be treated to complimentary tea and coffee free of charge as they travel on their journey as part of Random Acts of Kindness Day.
As well as this, there will also be chances to win prizes onboard the train and via Lumo and Ringtons social media platforms.
The prizes will consist of train tickets and a selection of Ringtons products.

Lumo operates five trains daily between London Kings Cross and Edinburgh Waverly, stopping at major East Coast Mainline stations, and is dedicated to excellent onboard customer service. Last year, they achieved a 96% passenger satisfaction rating, demonstrating their dedication.
The partnership between Lumo and Ringtons has been going on since 2021, with Ringtons teas being available to buy onboard Lumo’s trains.
Ringtons have been making teas and serving customers for five generations. Founded in 1907, they started selling their products from a horse and cart on the streets across Newcastle.
Fast forward 118 years, the company has grown and now consists of 25 locations across the UK, treating the nation to a fantastic range of teas, coffees, biscuits and sweet treats.
“At Lumo, we believe that small moments can make a big difference and Random Acts of Kindness Day is a fantastic opportunity to give back to our customers. We strive to create a welcoming and enjoyable travel experience, and this initiative allows us to spread a little extra joy along the way.
Martijn Gilbert, Managing Director at Lumo,
“Monday presents a lovely opportunity for us to share the joy of tea and coffee with Lumo. Like Martijn, we believe it’s the little things that can make a big difference. After all, is there anything more heartwarming than someone making you that unexpected cup of tea?”
