The Leighton Buzzard Railway has warned Leighton Buzzard residents of a road closure whilst upgrade work takes place.

Hockliffe Road, the A4012, will be closed between Danes Way and Meadow Way from the 17th February until the 14th March.

This is to allow for the replacement of the level crossing, which cannot be completed without a full road closure.

It is hoped that the work may only take 3 weeks to complete, but an extra week has been factored in to allow for any unexpected discoveries.

A diversionary route for vehicles will be signposted; pedestrians will need to use the footpaths off Meadow Way and Orion Way.
