Bachman has released the first list of 2025 regarding which of their products will be going on sale online and at Bachmann retailers across the county.
New OO gauge models due to be launched this spring include the launch of the EFE range Class 74 Electro-Diesel Locomotives, Bachmann has also unveiled which of the livery will be applied to the model locomotives before going on sale.
Bachmann’s Bulleid coaches have also received new tooling and a range of liveries for their Third Open and Brake Composite Corridor coaches which together can form a 3-car ‘L set’ which were a common sight on many branch lines across the Southern Region.

The Mk1 coaches are also set to see new liveries such as InterCity and West Highland Line Green & Cream, which have not been seen in Bachman’s line-up of these coaches before, while the introduction of a Mk1 Refurbished Restaurant Buffet is also due for release later this year.

Fans of the ‘Desiro’ Electric Multiple Units (EMUs) will be able to buy sound-fitted models of both the class 350 and 450 in a variety of liveries including South Western Railway, London Northwestern Railway and a class 350 will also be released in First TransPennine Express livery.

Also going on sale is the limited edition models featuring the pair of power cars that formed part of the prototype High-Speed Diesel Train.
These models can be bought as a twin pack containing both power cars in their original condition numbered 41001 & 41002 or they can be bought signally.
No. 41001 will also be available in sound-fitted condition and featuring its departmental stock number ADB975812 when it was given to the Railway Technical Centre fleet.
As part of Railway 200 Bachman has launched a Railway Celebrations range in OO scale. So far the range has two locomotives which consist of LNWR G2 No. 9446 which took part in the railway’s 100th anniversary celebrations in 1925, while 57XX Pannier Tank No. 7752 took part in the 150th anniversary celebrations in 1975 as part of the illustrious cavalcade at Shildon.
In terms of N gauge models, the Graham Farish range includes new class 47 diesels in a few sectorisation liveries which are available with or without sound though all have new tooling.
New 64XX pannier tanks are also available and make great companions to run with the recently released Hawksworth Auto Trailers
Other additions to N gauge rolling stock include the return of the long-lived VGA Vans which are available in several liveries, while ‘Super BGs’ BR Mk1 NBA High-Security Brake Gangwayed Coaches, are also going on sale to complement previous releases of by Graham Farish locomotives.

EFE are launching their first O Gauge this spring in partnership with Ixion Model Railways, a Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0T will be going on sale in a range of liveries.
In terms of scenery and assets, new OO scale Diecast Buses will be released later in the year along with Leyland Atlantean Open Top ‘Sea Dogs’. New detailed buildings feature models of March East Junction Signal Box and a South Eastern station both in OO scale. While new N gauge buildings feature a Great Central Railway messroom and a stone-built waiting room.
