ScotRail has said that all train services will be suspended on Friday, 24th January, due to the red weather warning in place.
The operator says that no road transport will be provided, and passengers are urged not to travel.
The red warning will be in place from 10 am until 5 pm for selected areas and an amber warning for wind for the rest of the country.
Please contact ScotRail to discuss your options if you already have a ticket
“The Met Office weather warnings for very high winds across the country mean that it will not be safe for our customers and our staff, and all ScotRail train services will be suspended on Friday.
“We recognise the impact that the withdrawal of train services will have on customers, but our first priority is always to ensure the safety of staff and passengers – and this is a necessary step to ensure everyone’s safety during the severe weather.
