Sadly, a person has been hit by a train near Stevenage and means the East Coast Main Line is closed between London Kings Cross and Peterborough.

Major disruption is expected until 10pm.

Hull Trains, Great Northern, Thameslink, Lumo, Grand Central and London North Eastern Railway are affected by this incident.

Hull Trains has ticket acceptance with LNER and Northern.

Thameslink and Great Northern are being terminated short of their original station, meaning a change of train may be needed.

LNER says that passengers need to use alternative services and ticket acceptance is in place with Avanti West Coast, TransPennine Express, Hull Trains, Northern, East Midlands Railway, CrossCountry, Greater Anglia, Great Northern and Thameslink.
