Steam locomotive to depart London Victoria this weekend

Either 70000 Britannia or 34046 Braunton will be departing London Victoria this weekend (30th November).

Departing London Victoria at 08:45, the train will pass through Herne Hill (08:55), Cheam (09:25), Leatherhead (09:43), (09:56), Clandon (10:04), Guildford (10:33), Haslemere (11:01), Petersfield (11:18), (11:58), (12:30), Salisbury (13:23), (14:16) and at 14:52.

After time in Bath, the train will depart at 17:53 and will pass through Westbury (18:25) on its way to Salibsury, where it will arrive at 19:00.

Here, diesel traction takes over from steam and will head back to London via Petersfield (21:12), Haslemere (21:32), Guildford (21:54), Clandon (22:08), Effingham Junction (22:18), Leatherhead (22:31), Cheam (22:46) and London Victoria at 23:30.

  1. I just saw it leave London Victoria. I’m on cloud 9 it was the best experience I have ever had in this whole year. Truly breathtaking with a lot of steam.
