Train operator Greater Anglia has launched special Autumn Hare Fares starting from only £6 for a return ticket, available for a limited period.
The new Hare Fares provide passengers with excellent value for off-peak, day return journeys across the Greater Anglia network.
They feature straightforward return prices of £6, £12, £18, and £24, with children’s tickets available for only £2 each for a return trip.
There is no cap on the number of tickets one can purchase with the offer; however, they must be reserved from 1 October to 22 October for journeys that are planned to be made between 2 October and 2 December.
Below are some examples of major routes that Greater Anglia’s Autumn Hare Fares tickets can be used on:
- From just £6 return, passengers can travel between:
- Norwich and Sheringham
- Norwich and Lowestoft
- Norwich and Great Yarmouth.
- From just £12 return, passengers can travel between:
- Cambridge and London
- Chelmsford and London
- Norwich and Cambridge
- From just £18 return, passengers can travel between:
- Chelmsford and Ipswich
- Colchester and London
- Southend and Colchester
- From just £24 return, passengers can travel between:
- Chelmsford and Norwich
- Norwich and London
- Shenfield and Norwich

Hare Fares are offered exclusively as standard off-peak day return tickets. These tickets are available for booking solely through the Greater Anglia website or the Greater Anglia app, allowing customers to secure their tickets without any booking fees.
Greater Anglia provides a variety of Advance fares, allowing customers to save 60-70% compared to standard walk-up prices, in addition to 2FOR1 entry to numerous premier attractions in London and East Anglia.
Greater Anglia offers a variety of value fares throughout the year, such as GroupSave for groups of three or more, a special evening fare for overnight stays in London, and a Club 50 discount for individuals aged 50 and over.
Hare Fares cannot be used for journeys that are entirely within the Oyster zone. Standard refund policies are applicable.
