The North Yorkshire Moors Railway has announced that BR Standard Class 7 No. 70000 ‘Britannia’ will be visiting them this February Half Term (10th – 18th February 2024).
The 11am and 2pm departures will allow passengers to ride behind Britannia on a 36-mile round trip from Pickering to Grosmont.
70000 is usually seen out on the mainline hauling railtours for Locomotive Services Group.
Alongside the visit of Britannia, the NYMR will also be hosting a range of special activities for children.
Tickets will cost £45 per adult, kids between 0 and 15 will go free, with member rates available and the ability to use your annual pass.
Laura Strangeway, Acting CEO, said, “We’re so excited to open a little earlier next year, for these incredible special services featuring the iconic Britannia. This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiasts but also a great way for families to spend a half term day out together, on board our heritage railway.”
