The Severn Valley Railway (SVR) has new offer for Blue Light Card and Defence Discount Service card holders.
These cards are available for members of the Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy, and members of the emergency services. Card holders can benefit from a 33% reduction in individual ticket prices when they travel on the railway. To obtain the reduction, card holders just need to present their Blue Light Card or Defence Discount Service card at an SVR booking office.
The offer began on Saturday, 25th June and will continue all year round on normal services.
Blue Light and Defence Discount Service Card holders can access the discount at booking offices on the day of travel and there is no need to pre-book. SVR’s services throughout July, August and September operate from Wednesdays to Sundays.
As well as this new offer, the SVR has other passes available, including:
- One-day Freedom of the Line Ticket, allowing unlimited travel for one day on any standard services;
- Two-day Freedom of the Line Pass, allowing two days of travel, within a seven-day period;
- Five-day Freedom of the Line Pass allows five days of travel, any time during the 2022 season;
- UNLIMITED Freedom of the Line Pass, allowing unlimited travel on standard services throughout the 2022 season.

“The Severn Valley Railway is a key destination across Worcestershire and Shropshire and we look forward to extending a special welcome to an extremely important part of our local community. This is just our small way of giving something back.”
