TransPennine Express (TPE) has launched a new tool which allows local schools to book train journeys in a single step alongside a 20% discount off the price of Advance Purchase tickets when travelling as a group.

Connecting cities and towns across the North and into Scotland, the TPE network provides many days out to choose from, such as Liverpool’s Waterfront Museums, the JORVIK Viking Centre in York or SEA LIFE at Scarborough just to name a few.

TPE have a specialist team available to assist schools in booking advance travel, answer any questions and make sure that everyone is seated together.

To make a booking please email [email protected] or call 0330 095 4030.

“Taking the train is one of the greenest ways to travel, and our modern trains go to some of the best destinations in the North and into Scotland. I would encourage anyone thinking about booking their next excursion for a group of 10 or more to give the train a try.”

Travelling by train is one of the most sustainable methods of transport with TPE committed to further cutting its carbon emissions by 30% per vehicle kilometre as soon as April 2023.

To find out more about booking train travel for groups of schoolchildren, please visit: http://tpexpress.co.uk/special-offers/group-train-travel

The 20% discount is available for both First and Standard Class Advance Purchase tickets and is valid for travel on any TPE service subject to availability and excluding dates affected by ongoing RMT strike action.
