Northern advises Warrington festivalgoers to decide between ‘Encore or Onboard?’

Neighbourhood Weekender 2022 is taking place at Victoria Park in Warrington over the weekend of Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of May and will see thousands of festivalgoers enjoy headline acts Courteeners, Kasabian and Blossoms.

Friday the 27th of May will also see My Chemical Romance perform in Victoria Park.

Northern runs late-night services from Warrington Central and Warrington Bank Quay which are both 25 minutes walk away from Victoria Park.

The last services running on Friday the 27th of May are:

  • Warrington Central to Liverpool: 00:05 (Sat am)
  • Warrington Central to Manchester: 00:18 (Sat am)
  • Warrington Bank Quay to Manchester: 23:50
  • Warrington Bank Quay to Chester: 22:49

The last services running on Saturday the 28th of May are:

  • Warrington Central to Liverpool: 23:58
  • Warrington Central to Manchester: 00:15 (Sun am)
  • Warrington Bank Quay to Manchester: 22:20
  • Warrington Bank Quay to Chester: 23:48

The last services running on Sunday the 29th of May are:

All of the above services are expected to be extremely busy, please double check National Rail Enquiries for confirmation of the train times.

Chris Jackson, regional director for Northern, said:

“The Neighbourhood Weekender is a highlight of the region’s cultural calendar and we’re proud to play our part in getting people to this great event.

“We’d hate people to miss their last train home, so we’re urging festivalgoers to be mindful of the late-night services running from the closest railway stations that weekend.”

Northern runs almost 2,000 services each day to more than 500 stations throughout the North of England and is the second-largest rail operator in the country.
