The Mid Norfolk Railway will be releasing tickets for its popular Polar Express events on their website from 10am on Tuesday the 22nd of March.

Ahead of general sales, those who were booked on the Polar Express for the final week of 2021 which unfortunately had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 will be sent an email with instructions of how to get priority booking for the 2022 event and will be available from 10am on Monday the 21st of March until 9.30am the next day.

The Mid Norfolk Railway’s (MNR) Polar Express will be making its festive trips from November this year and will run right through to Christmas.

Once again, MNR Theatrical Director Paul Andrew Goldsmith of Twisted Reality Theatre will be overseeing the cast.

The train will be made up using the railways refurbished ex-Greater Anglia Mark 3 coaches. The previous airline-style seating has been swapped out for four-seat bays around a table for Standard Class seating. Premium tickets will also be available using the former First Class coaches for those wanting a little extra luxury.

Charlie Robinson, the Chairman of the MNR Trust said: “This is an important day for the railway, as the revenue we receive from our Polar Express experience, forms a vital part of the railway’s income that ultimately pays for the railway”.

“The refurbished coaches, with the return to the original seating arrangement, proved last year to be a great success and made the coaches significantly more family-friendly and we are sure it enhanced the Polar Express experience for all of our passengers”.
