Research undertaken by (TPE) shows that 71% of Britains will be enjoying a holiday in the UK with 64% of those surveyed looking at stopping for up to a week.

The research found that the top ten top holiday picks are:

1. Scarborough
2. Edinburgh
3.
4.
5. Newcastle
6.
7. Durham
8. Doncaster
9.
10. Sheffield

The research also revealed that six out of ten 18 to 34-year-olds are choosing the staycation trend and holidaying in the UK for the next few months with reports of overseas restrictions and the possible risk of losing money as a knock-on effect of cancellation, respondents also reported also the need to save money as a reason for holidaying in the UK.

  1. Yet. Transpennine is not operating the direct train service it used to between Liverpool Lime Street and Scarborough every hour.

Usual story, ignoring the downgrade in service. Shameful.

    1. Many services were removed during the pandemic, and some are slowly returning, but there is some way to go to get back to pre-pandemic levels of service
