Steam locomotive 45407 The Lancashire Fusilier set to pass through Manchester this Friday

Ian Riley’s Ex-LMS Black 5 No. 45407 ‘The Lancashire Fusilier’ will be on the mainline this Friday, 9th April 2021

45407 is moving from the East Lancashire Railway to Carnforth in preparation for the delayed start of ‘The Jacobite’ season in Scotland.

Departing Bury at 10:00, the locomotive and its support coach will pass through Miles Platting (10:42), Manchester Victoria (10:46), Salford Central (10:49), Salford Crescent (10:53), Bolton (11:07), Chorley (11:25), Preston (11:47), Lancaster (12:42), Carnforth (12:53) and Carnforth Steamtown at 13:13.

Please Note: This is a light engine movement and is subject to delay, change of locomotive or cancellation to the timings above. Please use links below for up-to-date timings for 45407.

If you head out to see 45407 The Lancashire Fusilier, please follow all Government guidance regarding social distancing and pubic transport use. If you have any symptoms of coronavirus, give this movement a miss and follow isolation guidance.
