The Ruislip Lido Railway has announced that their railway will be opening it’s doors again from Monday 12th of April 2021.
Following the UK’s Government announcement on COVID-19 restriction changes over the coming months, the Ruislip Lido Railway are in the process of preparing for the public to visit their site once again.
To comply with Government advice and ensure safety for volunteers and passengers, the line has set out a number of changes that will be in place until further notice. These are:
- Reduced capacity across all trains – 50% of normal capacity levels is the maximum for now
- Increased number of trains in service – this is dependent on available volunteers
- Amended boarding and un-boarding routes
- Payment for tickets – until further notice cash will not be accepted as payment
On top of these changes, Turntable Tea Room (based at Willow Lawn Station) will stay closed until Government advice changes.
To explain these changes and to help understand how each one will work, the Railway has created a video showing each change. To view the video, please see below:
The Ruislip Lido Railway says it can not wait to welcome passengers back to the site once again, but reminds people to stick to social distancing measures and other rules set to ensure the safety of both staff and passengers.
