An online event is being organised by Network Rail to provide information to residents in Kettering about work on the railway over the next few weeks.
Work on electrification of the line between Bedford, Kettering and Corby will take place between the 31st October and the 28th November.
Part of the Midland Main Line Upgrade, the work will see the removal of vegetation along the side of the railway. From Monday the 16th November piling work will be taking place overnight.
The work is taking place overnight as fewer trains will be running, however piling work can be noisy. The steel piles will support the overhead line equipment.
Further work is expected to take place next year.
Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, the event has been moved online instead of being a face to face event.
If residents have any questions about the work, they can join the online event at 18:30 on Wednesday 28th October. For those who cannot attend the online event, they can call the Network Rail National Helpline on 03457 11 41 41 for further information.
