The Severn Valley Railway, which runs from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster, has lit up its flagship station in support of NHS workers during the coronavirus crisis.
The heritage railway worked with local experts Betalite and lit up Kidderminster station on Monday 4th May 2020.
Kidderminster’s light up started with NHS colours before being transformed through the full rainbow of colours.
A small team from Betalite and the Severn Valley Railway were at Kidderminster to record the event, which was streamed on Facebook and Instagram.
The event will be repeated twice, with shows starting at 8.50 pm on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th May.
The NHS light ups can be viewed on the Severn Valley Railway Facebook and Instagram pages.
SVR’s marketing manager Dan Shorthouse said: “Whilst we can’t open to run our normal services, we wanted to find a way to show our thanks to NHS staff who are giving so much during this difficult time. We’ve worked closely with Betalite to create something to capture the imagination, and they’ve delivered something we are very proud of!”
Government lockdown restrictions mean that the Severn Valley Railway has been closed since the 15th March 2020.
