Fogging guns have been used to clean Greater Anglia trains during the coronavirus pandemic to keep staff and passengers safe.
Fogging guns use chemicals that kill viruses and are excellent to reach the difficult parts of trains. The machines can be used at any depot or station on the Greater Anglia network.
In addition to trains, the machines can also be used in waiting rooms, offices or other railway buildings.
Martin Moran, Greater Anglia’s Commercial, Customer Services and Train Presentation Director, said “We are doing all we can to keep trains clean for key workers and those who need to make essential journeys. If a person with suspected coronavirus travels on one of our trains, the train would be quarantined. Once it has been released, it undergoes a thorough deep-clean and part of this process involved using the “fogging guns”. We’re so grateful to our teams and other key workers, in many different roles, who are working tirelessly at this time to help others.”
Since the start of the outbreak, the operator has stepped up it’s cleaning of its trains and stations.

Great video, Fog Clean in the UK offer a fogging service,if anyone is looking for this in the North West
Very good effort from the cleaners cleaning the trains. They would do the same to the new rolling stocks including Class 745, Class 755 and soon the Class 720 when they do enter service.
