92212 In, 7822 Out – Steam locomotive Changes at Llangollen Railway

The Foxcote Manor Society has announced that their Great Western Railway 7800 ‘Manor' Class No.7822 “Foxcote Manor” has left the , with the same haulage contractor bringing British Railways Standard Class 9 ‘9F' No.92212 to the Llangollen Railway.

Overhauling 92212

A deal has been made between 92212's owner Jeremy Hosking and the Llangollen Railway which will see 92212 overhauled at the heritage line in North Wales.

Following its last passenger train on Saturday the 28th of December 2019 before its heritage boiler ticket expired, 92212 was stored at the Mid Hants Railway (MHR) (The Watercress Line), where the 9F has been based, while plans were organised for the engine's future.

Early 2020 has seen overhaul plans agreed and 92212 transported by S.A.Smith, heavy haulage specialists, from the MHR to Llangollen Railway.

“Foxcote Manor” Returns to (WSR)

7822 has returned back to the WSR for the 2020 season following a six-month stay at Llangollen from October 2019 to March 2020.

Due to COVID-19,  trains are halted until further notice.

S.A.Smith took “Foxcote Manor” from Llangollen, after unloading 92212, to WSR.
