Greater Anglia has announced that over £5,000 has been shared across 20 charities under the operator’s Corporate Donation Scheme, Staff Survey and HQ dress down days.

Greater Anglia’s Corporate Donation Scheme allows staff to nominate good causes that are close to them.

In addition, for every member of staff who answers the train operator’s annual staff survey, £1 is donated to charity.

Charities to have benefited in 2019 included Alzheimer’s Society, Animal Health Trust, Beds & Herts Historic Churches Trust, Bowel Cancer UK, Cambridge Soccer School, Children in Need, Eight Ash Green Youth FC, First Step, Great Ormond Street, Greenland Grove Animal Sanctuary, Guide Dogs, Inspire Suffolk, Macmillan, MND Association, National Autistic Society, Railway Benefit Fund, Samaritans, Solving Kids’ Cancer and the St Helena Hospice.

What did the officials say?

Greater Anglia’s Managing Director, Jamie Burles, said,

“We’re pleased to be able to give back to the communities and people we serve, as well as giving staff the opportunity to tell us which charities they feel should benefit, so that we can ensure that the money is going to causes close to their hearts.”
