The East Lancashire Railway has announced that Ex-LNER ‘A3’ No. 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ will be visiting them on several dates in 2020.

Passengers will be able to ride behind Flying Scotsman 8 – 10 May & 26 – 27 September 2020.

The ELR and RM in York have revealed that fans of the locomotive will be able to get their fix with a range of events to experience the famous engine like never before.

In addition to enjoying a ride behind the locomotive along the 12-mile long line, Flying Scotsman fans will be able to enjoy the locomotive at other significant events like the Day Out With Thomas and the award-winning 1940s weekend.

For those looking for fine dining, the locomotive will also be hauling some of the ELR’s dining trains along the East Lancashire Railway.

Tickets for the railway’s 2020 Flying Scotsman programme will go on sale
on Monday 9 December
