Black 5 steam locomotives in Clitheroe this Saturday

Not one, but two steam locomotives will be in action this weekend and will be steaming through Clitheroe this Saturday.

It is believed to be 44871 and 45407 hauling this tour.

Departing Manchester Victoria at 07:33, the two locomotives will passthrough Salford Central (07:37), Salford Crescent (07:52), Farnworth (08:01), Bolton (08:05), Chorley (08:25), Leyland (08:37), Bamber Bridge (08:43), Pleasington (08:51_, Blackburn (08:56), Langho (09:12), Clitheroe (09:27), Hellifield (10:51), Dent (11:21), Kirkby Stephen (11:36), Langwathby (12:02) and Carlisle at 13:18.

The return journey will see the black 5s depart at 15:18 and will pass through Penrith North Lakes (15:42), Tebay (16:50), Oxenholme Lake District (17:03), Lancaster (18:12), Preston (18:36), Leyland (18:48), Bolton (19:32), Salford Crescent (19:49) and Manchester Victoria (19:56).
