Transport for Wales has announced that it is offering opportunities for local businesses to work in partnership with Alun Griffiths Ltd. to deliver the South Wales Metro.
A Meet the Buyer event for local suppliers will be held at Taff’s Well RFC on 23 October, between 09:00 and 17:00.
At the drop-in event, suppliers will be able to meet members of the delivery team, discuss opportunities and complete training with Business Wales.
This is a major opportunity for suppliers to get involved in the £738 million transformation of the South Wales Metro.
This will include the new £100 million tram-train depot and control centre in Taff’s Well, and the construction and upgrading of Metro stations.
A variety of opportunities are available, from installing WiFi, CCTV, lifts and fire alarms, to plumbing, piling and building toilet facilities.
The work at stations will be spread across the lines from Cardiff to Treherbert, Aberdare, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhymney and Coryton
