70000 Britannia will be on the mainline once again as it hauls a railtour from Crewe to Todmorden.
The locomotive is hauling ‘The Palatine’ via Blackburn and Burnley Manchester Road.
Departing London Euston at 07:20 behind diesel locomotives, the tour will pass through Watford Junction (07:53), Milton Keynes Central (08:40), Northampton (09:01), Rugby (09:29), Nuneaton (09:49), Colwich (10:22), Stafford (10:33) and Crewe at 11:18.
Here, 70000 Britannia is added to the train. Departing Crewe at 11:47, the train will pass through Acton Bridge (12:11), Warrington Bank Quay (12:33), Wigan North Western (12:47), Blackburn (13:40), Accrington (14:49), Burnley Manchester Road (15:10), Todmorden (15:18), Rochdale (15:30), Miles Platting (15:54), Manchester Victoria (15:57), Salford Central (15:59), Newton-le-Willows (16:22), Warrington Bank Quay (16:32), Winsford (16:59), and Crewe at 17:12.
The diesel locomotives will be added back to the train and will depart Crewe at 17:44. It will then pass through Stafford (18:13), Nuneaton (18:53), Rugby (19:07), Northampton (19:47), Milton Keynes Central (20:15), Watford Junction (20:51), London Euston (21:14).
