Steam locomotive 44871 heading to Bristol this Thursday

44871 will be back on the mainline this Thursday as it heads for Bristol Temple Meads.

The Black 5 is hauling a Steam Dreams Excursion to Bristol from the capital.

Departing London Paddington at 09:45, the train will pass through Acton Main Line (09:50), Ealing Broadway (09:54), Southall (10:00), West Drayton (10:09), Slough (10:19), Taplow (10:24), Maidenhead (10:27), Twyford (10:37), Reading (10:44), Didcot Parkway (11:15), Swindon (12:09), Chippenham (12:28), Bath Spa (12:45), Keynsham (12:59) and Bristol Temple Meads (13:07).

The return journey will see the locomotive depart at 17:34, and will then pass through Bath Spa (17:51), Trowbridge (18:35), Westbury (18:41), Salisbury (19:27), Overton (20:30), Basingstoke (20:53), Reading (21:17), Maidenhead (21:36), Slough (21:49), Acton Main Line (22:05) and London Paddington at 22:15.
