Over on the 60009 Union of South Africa Facebook page, they have announced that there are no paths available for 60009 to attend the Mid Norfolk Railway.
The cancellation is due to engineering works that are taking place.
This means that Network Rail can't provide a path for 60009 to the Mid Norfolk Railway via the mainline, and means its planned visit for the upcoming gala is now in doubt.
The non-availability of paths to the Mid Norfolk Railway also applies to the other mainline visitor, LMS Duchess, No.6233 ‘Duchess of Sutherland'.
If cancellations are made, and if any replacements are found at short notice, then we shall update you as soon as possible.
