Steam locomotive 70000 Britannia will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in Crewe and York on Saturday 30th March 2019.
The Britannia locomotive is hauling an excursion from Crewe to York.
The railtour departs Swansea behind a diesel locomotive approximately 06:04 am.
The railtour will then pass through Cardiff Central (07:01), Newport (07:17), Cwmbran (07:31), Leominster (08:23), Church Stretton (08:48), Shrewsbury (09:03), and Crewe at 09:39.
Here, 70000 is attached to the train, and will then pass through Stockport (11:12), Mossley (12:21), Huddersfield (13:09), Wakefield Kirkgate (13:31), Church Fenton (14:08) and York.
Here 70000 Britannia is taken off the train and is replaced by a diesel locomotive. The train will then continue on to Thirsk (15:26), Darlington (15:56), Fellgate (17:00) and Sunderland at 17:15.
Returning back to York via Hartlepool (17:40), Yarm (18:05), Thirsk (18:25) and finally York at 18:48.
