The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway has announced that they will be welcoming two class 50 locomotives to their Mixed Traffic Weekend in May 2019.

This follows on from the success of the 50th Anniversary Gala which saw 50035 visit from the Severn Valley Railway.

The two locomotives are appearing courtesy of the Class 50 Alliance Ltd.

Current plans are for 50031 ‘Hood' and 50049 ‘Defiance' to be the locomotives attending, however, this is due to change as they are not fully confirmed.

50049 Defiance will be the locomotive leading the convoy of locomotives and coaches that will be attending in May 2019.

More details of the event will be announced in due course.
