The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway have announced that steam locomotive 78022 will be in action this weekend.
The Mogul tender engine will be hauling passengers this coming Saturday (24th November) between Keighley and Oxenhope.
78022 has been out of action for the past 17 years whilst it underwent an overhaul and makes it the second steam locomotive to return to passenger service this year at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.
The engine will be performing the Green Timetable as part of the Haworth Steampunk Weekend (times and fares available below)
Incidentally, 41241 is in action on Sunday, taking over from 78022 for the final day of the Steampunk weekend.
It is brilliant to see yet another locomotive return to traffic, and we look forward to seeing 78022 in the very near future.
