A brief history of Lyn

Lyn is a new build replica of the orignal Lyn. The original was scrapped when the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway closed in 1935. Construction of the new locomotive began in 2009 when the L&B announced the project to build a modern replacement for Lyn.

Final assembly of the locomotive took place at Alan Keef Ltd, and Lyn made her debut at the Lynton and Barnstaple Gala in September 2017.
