Where and when to see a steam locomotive No.44871 in Tweedbank tomorrow

44871 on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway

Steam locomotive 44871 will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in Tweedbank on Sunday 12th August 2018.

The Black 5 is on a special railtour tomorrow. 44871 is hauling The Forth Bridge & Borders Special on Sunday.

The railtour departs Linlithgow behind the steam locomotive at approximately 08:52 am.

The railtour will then leave Linlithgow, bound for Tweedbank, where it will make stops at Dunfermline Town (10:12), Kirkcaldy (10:37) and Dalgety Bay (10:58) before arriving at Edinburgh Waverley at 11:29.

After around 5 minutes, the train will depart Edinburgh Waverley at 11:45, steaming through Newcraighall (11:47) and Gorebridge (11:59) and will then stop at Galashiels at 12:41.

The train will arrive at Tweedbank at 12:50.

After around 2 hours in Tweedbank, 44871 will depart Tweedbank at 15:11 bound for Linlithgow. It will once again stop at Galashiels (15:17) before passing through Gorebridge (15:58) and Newcraighall (16:10). It will then make a stop at Edinburgh at 16:48.

After the short break, the railtour will steam through Haymarket (16:45) and make stops at Dalgety Bay (17:08), Kirkcaldy (17:31) and Dunfermline Town (18:07).

The railtour will arrive back at its final destination of Linlithgow at 19:02.
