Greater Anglia has announced that the team of volunteers that look after West Runton Railway Station will host its annual community event this Saturday, 25 August.
Every year, the volunteers look after the gardens and keep the platforms tidy.
This year, the event aims to raise funds for the station garden. This includes a cake stall, book stall and locally grown produce and honey stalls.
The raffle is in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance and will also be held at the event, which runs from for 2 pm until 4 pm.
What did the officials say?
Alan Neville, Greater Anglia‘s Customer Engagement Manager, said:
“We’re very grateful to the excellent station adopter team at West Runton for holding an event this year, which will help raise money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
“West Runton is a beautiful station and the team of adopters work very hard to keep the gardens looking bright and welcoming. The team has held some very popular events in the past, and we hope as many people as possible this year’s garden celebrations.”
