The East Lancashire Railway has announced that their Santa Special tickets for the 2018 season have today gone on sale.
Yes, Father Christmas will once again be visiting Bury to welcome children, of any age, onto the train for a festive run through the Irwell Valley.
Carol singing and brass bands will be performing at Bury Bolton Street to get you in the festive season.
Children will meet Father Christmas and will get a gift each. Biscuits and juice will be available for the children, and a mince pie and a festive tipple will be available for the grown-ups.

There is up to nine departures a day for you to pick from, but don’t leave it too late as these will sell out quick! One departure already has limited seating available!
