Network Rail is inviting residents to find out more about their £23 million investment to rebuild parts of Feltham station.
The plans will allow for longer platforms, which mean longer trains, new step-free access and a new bridge for cyclists and pedestrian.
Network Rail will be holding drop-in events on Thursday 6 and Saturday 8 September for members of the public to find out more about the upgrade scheme.
Phase one of the work will begin on September 27 with the installation of a second entrance on platform 1. This will provide step-free access and an improved interchange with local buses.
Another round of community engagement events will take place prior to further work in January next year.
The drop-in events will be held at Assembly Hall, Feltham Park, Hounslow Road, TW14 9DN on:
- Thursday 6 September 2018 from 11 am – 5 pm
- Saturday 8 September 2018 from 9:30am -1:30pm
What did the officials say?
Victoria Greenwood, scheme sponsor for Network Rail, said:
“With work at Feltham station set to get underway next month as part of our Railway Upgrade Plan, these events offer a great opportunity for local residents to meet our project team and ask any questions they may have.
“We encourage anyone interested in the scheme to come along to find out how this £23 million investment will help improve safety and provide a better experience for passengers.”
