World famous locomotive ‘Flying Scotsman‘ will be back in steam tomorrow on the mainline and will be passing through Leeds on its journey.
The A3 locomotive is on a light engine movement. 60103 is moving from the National Railway Museum, in York, to the East Lancashire Railway, in Bury, where it is on public display this weekend (more on that can be found here).
The steam locomotive will stop at Leeds at approximately 16:48, before heading off for Hellifield and Clitheroe at 16:54.
From Leeds, it will head via Shipley, Crossflatts, Keighley, Skipton and Gargrave to Hellifield.
After a break and refuelling, the locomotive will then make its journey through Lancashire via Langho, Clitheroe, Blackburn and Preston to Manchester, where it will then join the East Lancashire Railway at Castleton.
