D832 Onslaught to visit North Norfolk Railway for Summer Diesel Gala

The North Norfolk Railway has announced Warship class D832 Onslaught as their first visiting locomotive to their Summer Diesel Gala.

Appearing courtesy of Bury Hydraulic Group, the Warship will be visiting the railway from the 15th June 2018 until the 17th June 2018.

It will be the first time in the railways gala history that a Warship class of diesel locomotive has visited the .

A full gala line up will be announced soon.

About D832 Onslaught

D832 was built in 1961 at the Swindon Works. ‘Onslaught’ is one of only two remaining Class 42 ‘Warships’ and is based at . The first class members appeared in 1958 and was allocated to the Western Region. Withdrawal of the class came early, as British Rail wanted all engines with hydraulic transmission to be withdrawn.
