No. 85 stands with a Santa Special on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway

The Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway has added an extra date to their Steam Santa Special calendar for 2017.

The standard gauge heritage railway in Yorkshire will now run Santa Specials on the 22 December.

The line runs from Embsay to Bolton Abbey via Draughton Sidings, Holywell, and Stoneacre Loop.

The line is around 4 miles long and takes 100,000 passengers a year.

The Santa trains will now run on:

Friday 22nd December – New date added!
Saturday 23rd December
Saturday 23rd December (Evening Santa Special)*
Sunday 24th December

*- This Santa Special will depart at 6:30
Prices for the Santa Specials are
  • Adult – £15
  • Children – £15
  • Children (under 2 years old) – £8
