Ffestiniog Railway

The Ffestiniog Railway is a narrow gauge heritage railway, located in Gwynedd, North Wales. The railway runs through the Snowdonia National Park.

The railway runs for 13.5 miles from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Climbing over 700 feet from sea level into the hills.

Linda and Blanche at TanybwlchThere are plenty of stations along the line where you can begin walks from the Railway, the main one being at Tan-y-bwlch.

Refreshments are available at Porthmadog and at Tan-y-bwlch. In addition most trains have an on board buffet, providing hot and cold drinks, alcoholic drinks, cakes, chocolate etc.
